Dear Trinity,
As you may have heard, our Facebook pages for both the Downtown and the Family Life Center were hijacked some time ago. We made several efforts with Facebook to recover them, but to no avail. Therefore, we are launching new pages and we would like you to follow both of them for a few reasons.  One, in order for Facebook to allow us to stream our services they have implemented a new policy that any such pages must be at least thirty days old and have 100 followers. So we need to get both pages to 100 followers in order to stream our services from both locations on Facebook.
Of course, we will be able to include announcements and pictures from events on these pages so they can be a useful resource to the church. We appreciate your willingness to help in this endeavor as we seek to make disciples for the transformation of the world by promoting worship, service and fellowship opportunities in our church and in our community.
Co-worker in the field of the Lord,
Pastor Hayden

Trinity Church

At the end of the Civil War in 1865, divided loyalties healed slowly. A year later in Salisbury, eight men, along with a serious minded teen-aged girl, withdrew from the Methodist Episcopal Church to form a new congregation. They sent a petition to the Virginia Conference, asking the presiding elder of the Norfolk District, the Reverend Dr. M. Lecato, to visit them for that purpose. That meeting resulted in the framework to establish Trinity Church, thereby becoming the northernmost congregation in the old Methodist Episcopal Church, South.

Those founding fathers, Henry Brewington, James Cannon, Levin J. Dashiell, Levin Dorman, William W. Gordy, Hugh Jackson, Isaac Jackson, and William B. Tilghman, along with Miss Nannie Rider, had plans drawn up…
