Fred Duncan

Fred has been in pastoral ministry for twenty-three years.  His ministry began at the Roxana-Sound Charge near Selbyville, Delaware, then Christ UMC in Laurel, Delaware, then Bethel UMC in Lewes, Delaware, and most recently, the Dean of the Cabinet of Bishop Peggy Johnson for the past five years.  Fred has participated in many Conference and District committees throughout his pastoral career, including the Conference Committee on Finance and Administration, the Board of Pension, the Board of Ordained Ministry, the Conference Hispanic Task Force, and numerous other positions.  Fred is a graduate of Indian River High School in Frankford, Delaware and Sussex Technical High School in Georgetown, Delaware.  He is a graduate of Delaware Technical and Community College and Wilmington University where he received his degrees in Human Services and Behavioral Science.  He graduated in 2003 from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC with his Masters of Divinity.  Fred was commissioned in 2003 and ordained Elder in Full Connection in 2006.  He and his wife, Pat, live in Salisbury.  Fred enjoys golf, fishing, walking, and attending Shorebirds baseball games with Pat.
